Progressive Aerodyne Searey History:

The SeaRey is an amphibious Light Sport Aircraft (LSA), built by Progressive Aerodyne, Inc.. It is considered as an “Experimental Aircraft” because it is a kit-built aircraft. The SeaRey’s wing is tapered, with its leading edge swept back but with a straight trailing edge. It’s Rotax 582 (rare), 912 80hp, 912 S 100hp, or 914 115hp engines spins an IVO Ground Adjustable propeller. A two, side-by-side sitting capacity, the SeaRey has an easy-slide open canopy with 122cm elbow room. With the length of 22ft 5inches and a wingspan of 30ft and 10inches, it has a cruise speed of 85mph on the 912 80hp engine, 93 mph on the 912 S 100hp engine and 100 mph on the 914 115hp engines.
