It is a five seat light transport and its primary users the are United States Army Air Corps, United States Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, and United States Air Force. Its maiden flight was in 1939 and Dwane Wallace flew this first twin engine airplane built by Cessna Aircraft Company. The T 50 is known by different names such as Bobcat which is given by Cessna; Crane by the Canadians; AT-17 and later UC-78 by the USAAF; and Songbird by a TV series entitled Sky King. The Cessna T50 has a span of 41 feet 11 inches; length of 32 feet 9 inches; 5,700 lbs maximum weight; two Jacobs R-755-9s of 245 hp. each engines.
