History of the Aircraft Model Gulfstream II:The Gulfstream II is a Turbofan twin engine powered by Rolls-Royce Sprey RB.168 Mk 511-8 engines. The aircraft was primarily built for the Corporate Market as a business jet however because the aircraft mimics the cockpit and flight characteristics of the space shuttle the U.S. Military and NASA use the same aircraft for Space Shuttle practice approaches. Only one aircraft is used by the U.S. Military Coast Guard for V.I.P. transport. |
