Gulfstream III History :

The Gulfstream III was produced as a business jet by Gulfstream Aerospace, The aircraft is an all weather high speed and long range type aircraft. Two Rolls-Royce Spey Turbofan engines provide the thrust with thrust reversers incorporated.

Several Variants of the Gulfstream III have been produced. From Civil to Military to Corporate aircraft. The Gulfstream III Civilian version was manufactured to carry a two or three crew manned cockpit and eight to ten comfortably seated passengers in the cabin. The military versions, of which there were several, performed the same mission as the Civilian Version and was even specially equipped with upgraded electronics that could allow the aircraft to carry Presidential and V.I.P. passengers. The U.S. Navy and Air Force also used variants of the Gulfstream III. In 1983 three aircraft were built and sold to Denmark for maritime reconnaissance and patrol.
