Boeing 737-800 Malaysia History :

There can be no dispute the Boeing 737 line of aircraft are the work horse of the commercial passenger carrying population. The aircraft and its derivatives have set the standards other manufactures had to follow to stay in the market. With the aircraft being sold to almost every country in the world it is hard to travel without seeing at least one type of the Boeing 737 either loading passengers or taking off to destinations unknown.

The aircraft presented here is painted in Malaysian Airline System (MAS) Livery. On March 31th, 2008 MAS announced an order for 55 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to replacing their ageing fleet. The price tag was set at $4.2 Billion list price. As time goes on MAS plans to replace the -800 with the newer and larger -900 aircraft. This is expected to commence from September 2010 onwards. MAS remains one of the few airlines that continues to show a profit year after year. Perhaps it’s their choice of aircraft that guides their financial fortune.
