Cessna T210N Centurion History:

Cessna was looking for an aircraft that were fill the gap between the Cessna 182 and the Cessna 310 Twin Engine aircrafts. The single engine Cessna 210 was just the aircraft. First flight occurred on January 1957. For the first time Cessna installed a retractable landing gear and a swept back vertical tail on a single engine aircraft. Production started in late 1959 and continued through 1985.

During production Cessna continued to make improvements to the aircraft. The Cessna 210B had a wraparound rear window and the 210D was introduced with a more powerful engine and gained the name the Centurion. The engine was a turbocharged T210F, 285 hp, which greatly improved the performance of the aircraft. In 1978 the Cessna T210 produced the high performance pressurized aircraft. This allowed the aircraft to reach altitudes of 17,000 feet and higher.
