This Custom Made Cessna 182 Skylane Wooden Model Airplane was hand crafted using the finest Philippine Mahogany available and sealed to last for generations. Working with our wide variety of blueprints and their photographs, our Factory Direct ModelsŪ master artisans created this airplane into an amazingly detailed Display Model.

This Cessna 182 Skylane Wooden Airplane has a customized detachable stand and a Personalized Inscription Plate adding magnificence to this masterpiece.

Cessna 182 Skylane History

Following the invention of the Cessna 172 and 177 Cessna decided to continue the single engine four place aircraft but built an aircraft that exceed the performance and looks of it's predicessors. The looks were improved, the engine was bigger, 230 horses, giving the aircraft ramp appeal and versatility that any pilot would expire to. This was the first single engine aircraft that Cessna offered as a production aircraft with a IFR panel and leather seats making it a fast, comfortable and cost effect.

The aircraft was also offer with a retractable landing gear designated the R182 and TR 182. The T 182 was a normally aspirated engine and the TR182 had a turbo charged engine giving the aircraft a better climb Rate, faster cruise speeds and extended range. However these changes althought improved performance also increased the costs to maintain the aircraft. All in all this was still one of the best 4 seat aircraft, single engine aircraft offered at the time. Many pilots would agree with that statement.
