Bell 407 Helicopter History:

The Bell 407 helicopter is a four-bladed, single engine, civil utility helicopter developed by Bell Helicopters from their 206L-4 LongRanger helicopter. This helicopter made its maiden flight on 29 June 1995. It uses the four-blade, soft-in-plane designed rotor with a composite hub developed for the US Army?s OH-58D Kiowa Warrior instead of the two-blade, semi-rigid, teetering rotor of the 206L-4. Bell uses composite construction for the blades and hub which means they do not have life limits like other blades and hubs have and they also provide better performance and a more comfortable ride. The 407?s fuselage is 8 inches wider, increasing the internal cabin space, and includes main cabin windows that are 35% larger. Rolls-Royce?s Allison 250-C47B turboshaft engine allows an increase in maximum take-off weight and improves performance at hotter temperatures and/or higher altitudes. This airframe also includes a carbon fiber composite tailboom. Bell 407 helicopters are used primarily for offshore transport, air ambulances, law enforcement, corporate transport, electronic news gathering, and movie making. The 407 can accommodate the pilot and six passengers and can cruise at 152 miles per hour and has a range of 372 miles. Delivery of the Bell 407 production models started in February 1996 and the 1,000th aircraft was delivered on 15 June 2010.

Hi Danica

I have received the Avro Vulcan model and I am very pleased. This is a top notch aircraft model. The plane and the base are first class. Who ever your craftsmen are I would keep them around, they know their work. Please pass on my gratitude to them and your entire staff. The next aircraft model I buy will be from your company. Thank you again.
