Cirrus Vision SF50 History

The Cirrus SF50 is a single-engine, low-wing, seven-seat, very light jet under development by Cirrus Aircraft. It was originally developed under the project name ?The Jet? and later Cirrus announced the marketing name of ?Vision SJ50? on 9 July 2008. In March 2009 the aircraft was redesignated as the ?Vision SF50?. The maiden flight of the SF50 was on 3 July 2008. The SF50 is intended to be a step up aircraft for pilots who have flown the Cirrus SR20 and SR22 and other high-performance light aircraft. This airframe will be equipped with a Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and will be made of a composite material. It will be powered by a Williams FJ-33-5A engine and is expected to cruise at 345 miles per hour. FAA certification flight testing is scheduled to start in early 2014 and deliveries should start in 2015.

Hank,

I received the shipping info from Maricar and look forward to seeing the 2 custom models.

I also wanted to mention that have greatly enjoyed working with your sales representative, Mike. Compared to those I have dealt with at other companies, he is a real breath of fresh air! He has been extremely helpful and has a wealth of resource material to help assure accuracy and completeness of model detail. He seems genuinely interested in the subject matter and getting things right. This is very important to me in completing my model collection.
