Eurocopter EC-145 History:

The Eurocopter EC-145 is a twin-engine light utility civilian helicopter which is widely used by police, ambulance services, and executive transport services and is manufactured by Eurocopter Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company). Originally referred to as the BK 117 C2, the EC-145 was based upon the MBB/Kawasaki BK 117 C1. It was a joint venture development between Eurocopter and Kawasaki Heavy Industries on the basis of their successful prior jointly produced BK 117 C1. The EC-145 has a greater range, payload capacity, a considerably increased cabin area, reduced vibrations and noise emissions, and measures to simplify maintenance and minimize operational costs. Depending on the aircraft configuration, the EC-145 helicopter can accommodate up to nine passengers and a crew of two. It has a maximum range of 680 kilometers and a cruise speed of 246 kilometers per hour. As of September 2012, the Eurocopter EC-145 is in service by 100 customers in 34 countries. As of 1 January 2014, EADS will be renamed Airbus Group, adopting the name of its commercial aircraft-building subsidiary.

Testimonials

I just received my f-16C clear canopy model and to say I am thrilled is an understatement. I have over 50 models that contain aircraft from WW II and modern military and commercial airliners and none even come close to this one. I only wished my Dad was still alive when I found your website. He flew on a B-24 Liberator bomber with the 15th air corp. He would have been so proud to receive the model of that aircraft that is far superior to any model maker that I've seen in catalogs. Please thank your artisans for my superior very detailed model. I will be ordering more in the future. Thanks, Steve Henry Glen Mills Pa
The collection is complete. Thank you very much for your steadfastness in rough seas. You got the job done. It took a couple of years but you all got it done right. The cockpit work in the SNJ was exceptional. The Midway model tells a fascinating story in the arrangement of aircraft on the flight deck. The "Angel" helo off the starboard quarter was very well done. The SNJ trapping #3 wire was perfect. Please send these photos to the crew in the Philippines along with my very grateful thanks for "a job well done". Feel free to use these photos for demonstrative and sales presentation. You did good, Jim Heidler! Lawrence M. Elson, CDR, USNR-ret.
