Howard DGA-6 MR Muligan 4 History:

The Howard DGA-6 "Mr. Muligan" won the 1935 Thompson Trophy race at an average speed of 220.194 MPH with pilot Harold Neumann at the controls. A large four passenger aircraft, it was conventional design and looked like just about every other high wing monoplane of the period. Once in the air, it became apparent that it was no standard light plane. Capabile of out climbing and with a top speed of 292 MPH, it was of higher performance of the fighter aircraft then in service.
