The Douglas A-26 Invader was a twin-engine light bomber and ground attack aircraft used by the United States Army Air Forces during World War II and in the post-war era. It was first flown in 1942 and was used in several theater of operations, including Europe and the Pacific. The A-26 had a reputation for versatility and was capable of carrying a variety of armaments, including bombs, rockets, and machine guns. It was later used in the Korean War and by other countries. A total of 2,502 A-26 Invaders were built.
