Testimonial

Gentlemen:

I could not have been happier with the models I received from FDM. I placed my order at the AOPA convention in San Jose in November, and the models were delivered before Christmas! I have had many models of my airplanes over the last thirty years of flying, but never any better than the two you made of my Citation Mustang and Turbo 182 Skylane. I've never been sent photos for approval before. Hank Morrison in the Philippines was terrific! He called several times to make sure the scaling was what I wanted. You guys are far and away the very best in the business!

Cessna 510 Citation Mustang History:

The Cessna Citation Mustang, Model 510, is a "very light jet" (VLJ) class business jet built by Cessna Aircraft Company at their Independence, Kansas production facility. The Mustang, in standard configuration, has four passenger seats in the aft cabin and seating for two in the cockpit. Like most other very light jets, the Mustang is approved for single-pilot operation.

To achieve an entirely new low-weight classification, Cessna employed NEi Nastran finite element analysis software to allow for safe reduction of materials by virtual testing for strength and safety before physical production.

The Mustang first flew on 23 April 2005. The airplane received full type certification from the Federal Aviation Administration on September 8, 2006. Cessna received FAA certification to fly into "known icing conditions" on November 9, 2006. Cessna delivered the first production VLJ to Mustang Management Group of Fresno, California on November 23, 2006, the same day the FAA awarded Cessna with the necessary certification.[3] The first Retail Delivery was made to Dave and Dawn Goode on April 23, 2007. Dave Goode was the first customer to earn a type rating 510SP in the Mustang, on March 1, 2007.

The Mustang was the first of its class to receive full type certification, first to receive certification to fly into known-icing conditions, the first VLJ to be delivered to a customer, and makes Cessna the first company to obtain an FAA Production Certificate for a VLJ.
