Our local flying club had a devastating fire in the fall of 2019. In that fire, 11 airplanes perished, including the full scale and original FDM model of this Cessna 177 Cardinal. I reached out to Jason and explained how we wanted to try and replicate it for it's owner... Illinois Aviation Hall of Fame inductee, Mel Lynch. Without missing a beat, FDM still had the files required to duplicate this beautiful example of such a high-quality product. Dear Team FDM:

I received the model AeroVodochody L-39 Breitling #7 last Thursday and gave it to my boss the next day. He had anxiously been awaiting its arrival since he learned it was his 2018 Boss's Day gift. Being a pilot himself, he was really impressed as to the care, accuracy and thoroughness the model was given. I was pleasantly surprised as to its size. The one I had seen in Santa Fe, NM was in a shop window next to a display of Breitling watches and was approximately 5" x 7", so I was expecting a tiny, little model. The one received was just about life-size! It's totally cool!
